I have done this image as a full workshop for ImagineFx magazine last year and as they just posted up the full video to their YouTube channel, I think I am allowed to show it here as well finally.

It was great fun to work on this one and get out of my comfort zone with doing a bit more cartoony image than my usual stuff... :)

Steampunk Spaceship Interiors

Yeah, it seems there is a steampunk vibe everywhere, so here are some visual development / key concepts I have done for a film pitch last year. Not classic steampunk, but I really did like the idea of having an oldschool spaceship overgrown by vegetation. :)

Steampunk Pirates - Workshop in ImagineFX 92

As the issue 92 of the super awesome ImagineFX magazine hit the shelves today, I got permission from the publisher to show a little sneak peak of the workshop I have done for it.
As its a steampunk themed issue, I made a mood concept in that style, but tried to put a bit of a twist in it. It was great to have a bit of a break from my usual style and do a bit more cartoony stuff. :)
Make sure you pick up the mag to check out how I painted the image (there is also a process vid with commentary on the dvd) and to see all the other awesomeness.

WWI Elite Team - Igor (wip)

Character detailing demo done for the character design exercise started with my students, where they have to design a team of WWI spec op soldiers from the african front. Still needs lots of finessing - I hope I can find the time between all my client works, cause I kinda like this dude. He is an ex-wrestler from a russian circus... <:)
