Project Dune: Fremen Trooper

First version of the fremen and their suit. Instead of going towards the usual super fitting pyjama thing, I imagined the stillsuit as a more of an old tech body armor / exoskeleton. It could consist of various removable layers, what you can apply / remove depending on the task you have to perform in the desert. Still loads of things to sort out and experiment with, but at least a start...

That's definitely a breath of fresh air. I'm usually more of a conservative when it comes to Dune, but I really like this different version of it as well :) It's like because they are somewhat outlaws they are not bound to the rules of the rest of the galaxy and can keep using and advancing old machine technology. Or something like that...

So this "Dune Project" of yours, what do you refer to when you say that? Are you making a comic or something?

Thanks Ray! All what you said fits into my direction. I really would like to give the fremen and the stillsuit more unique designs, but we`ll see how it develops... :)
Atm this is only my personal project, what I am doing mainly for fun and practice - I have bigger plans, but I don`t want to give out too much yet. ;)

I'm definitely looking forward to see more of it, because I love Dune (already since childhood) and it's kind of rare that a talented artist such as yourself does so many Dune related pieces. I hope whatever your project is it will one day be revealed and then be every bit as fantastic as you are wanting it to be - because we Dune Fans are STARVING! I'm pretending Brian Herbert's lame attempts at continuing it do not exist, else I will suffer a stroke (I don't mean to offend you if you're a fan of those "sequels", though)...
