Quick digital color study done while waiting for my lunch at the local IHoP...

Nice studies, I really like them!

Do you paint them with your laptop and a tablet or do you use something else... I always wanted to know how digital "plein air" studies work...

Thanks man!
I am using a Samsung s7 slate tablet, its just much more portable than my macbook pro + wacom intuos4 combo. To be honest, I just started to experiment with this digital plein air stuff, but I really enjoy it so far - more to come! ;)

How are you liking the S7 slate? I've been really looking hard at it. Is it easy to achieve similar results as with a wacom+desktop/laptop?

@Jonathan: It handles PS CS5 and ZBrush4 just like my MBPro, the average battery life when using PS (with quite memory heavy files) was around 4 hours. The pressure sensitivity is only 256, but I did not really notice the difference to be honest. Its great to sketch out ideas on the go and I am sure I could even do a whole project on it from scratch till finish, if it would be necessary.
Its never be as strong as a hardcore desktop + wacom / cintiq, but you can`t beat the portability + size/weight + performance.
All in all I am absolutely happy with it so far and would highly recommend to any digital artist.
