Sketchbomb v.63

rocky landscape - the composition and colors aren`t 100%, but I think I will develop this one further as it turned out relatively nice in a short amount of time.

Cockatrice - Lunchtime doodle 76 & Sketchbomb 62

Concept sketch and quick overpaint for Jon Schindehette`s weekly sketching competition. This week the direction was to create a version of the classic fantasy critter, the cockatrice, after 4000 years of evolution.
In my version the cockatrice became a domesticated animal, sort of like a parrot. It is the favourite pet of the interdimensional cargo ship pilots, because they are really clever and can catch all the rats on the ship.
Jon is a senior art director of Dungeons & Dragons at Wizards of the Coast and he is making an awesome blog, what you definitely have to check out HERE.

Lunchtime doodle 75

something different this time. I went to Auckland museum today, I just had to do a sketch about Sue, the biggest and most complete T-Rex fossil in the world. :) If you are around I highly recommend to visit the exhibition - it was a great experience. You can find more info here.

Airbase - wip

I started to detail this speedpaint out - the colors are a bit weird at the moment, but I quiet like to work more with an unrealistic palette at the moment...
